About Us

My name is Bryan Waligura and I am the owner and one of the instructors of the Texas Hill Country School of Taxidermy. I live in Llano, TX with my family - my wife and three children. I offer a two week and a six week course in taxidermy. The classroom is located in downtown Llano on highway 25. My classes accommodate up to ten students per class. My assistant and I have over 35 years of combined experience in Taxidermy. Personally I have averaged 400-500 mounts a year while in
the taxidermy business. Over the years I was asked to teach a number of people how to do taxidermy. Now I have a taxidermy school of my own which helps me pass along my knowledge and experience in this industry to others and assist them in becoming qualified Taxidermists.

The field of taxidermy can be a very rewarding career choice. You can regulate what you want your income to be. You set your own working hours and you are your own boss. I have really enjoyed meeting hundreds of outdoors enthusiasts and hunters through the years. If you love to fish and hunt like I do - taxidermy can be the way for you to go. You can make it a hobby or open your own taxidermy studio to the public. At Texas Hill Country School of Taxidermy you will get a lot of training while doing each mount. All the mounts you do are yours to keep. When you finish and leave the school you will always be welcome to call or come by for advice. Our school is a laid back and friendly working environment and at the same time I am here to provide a service.
