A: Llano, TX 70 miles east of Austin, TX

 

Q: How many students do you take at one time?
A: 10 students max for 6 weeks - 5 for 2 weeks

Q: How many teachers are there?
A: Two

Q: Is this course hands on?
A: Yes 95%

Q: How many animals do we get to mount?
A: Eight

Q: Do we get to keep all the mounts?
A: Yes

Q: Do you provide lodging?
A: No. Lodging and food is available just blocks away from the taxidermy school location at Lone Star Inn (1-325-247-4111) on Highway 29. Please ask for taxidermy school lodging rates. Lodging and food is at the student’s expense. Discount rates are available for students taking the six week course.

Q: What are the rates for lodging?
A: We have negotiated special rates for our students. Please contact us.

Q: What days do you teach on?
A: Monday - Friday (weekends off)

Q: What do you provide?
A: All mounts, animals, forms, books, tools, normal information.

Q: When I finish your course will I be able to open my own taxidermy shop?
A: Yes

Q: Can I bring my own animals?
A: Depends, call before attending school.

Q: Will you explain all the laws that go with taxidermy?
A: Yes, we provide a game warden at the end of every course to answer any questions you may have about different laws.

Q: Are there any tests to pass during this course?
A: No, that's what I'm here for; if you don't understand something please ask.

Q: Are meals provided?
A: No, we have a Bar-B-Q at the end of every course were the family is welcome to attend.

Q: Do you take credit cards?
A: Yes.
